PLAYER PROFILE - Spencer Kidd

 

The 2025 Superior Spartans Boys Soccer team had many great accomplishments and several great players.  The team was led by junior captain and leading scorer, Spencer Kidd.  Photo courtesy of Jed Carlson and the Superior Telegram.

Spencer Kidd was named to the Lake Superior Conference 1st team and received the honor of Lake Superior Conference Player of the Year.  Kidd scored in 15 of his 17 games played, including a 9-game scoring streak and a 6-game scoring streak.  He also had 9 multiple goal games, including 4 hat tricks - one of which was a 4 goal effort!  His 29 goals easily led all players in the Twin Ports area and going into his senior season he has 69 career goals.

Kidd was named Wisconsin WIAA All-State Honorable Mention.  And was named to the Duluth News Tribune All-Area Boys Soccer Team.

Final Stats - 29 goals, 13 assists

Congratulations Spencer!  We are looking forward to one more season of Kidd dominating the Twin Ports and Wisconsin soccer in 2026!

2025 JV Awards

 

At the end of the 2025 season we held our annual banquet and announced awards for the varsity and JV teams.  While the varsity had an incredible season, winning the LSC conference and hosting a playoff game, the JV was also very successful.  Our Spartans JV team finished with a 8-5-4 record to clinch a second consecutive winning season.  We could not have done it without every player, and especially with some incredible individual achievements.  Here are your 2025 Superior Spartans Boys Soccer JV Awards:

At our end of the season banquet we passed out awards to both the varsity and JV players.  This is one way that we recognize the individual efforts and achievements of our players.  It was a great season for our team and program, marked by some very special individuals.  Here are your 2025 Superior Spartans Boys Soccer Varsity Awards:

End of the year - let's celebrate - ALL CONFERENCE

 

As we come to the end of 2025, we wanted to take a few moments to remember and celebrate what an awesome year and season this was.  It has been hard to accept the disappointment of the end of the season, but eventually we had some fun together.  The boys gathered for paintball on October 31st and we had our annual team banquet on November 2nd.  For the last few weeks of December, we will be posting about the awards achieved from a great year.  We will start with our ALL CONFERENCE players:

This year there were four Spartans who were voted to the Lake Superior Conference All Conference Team.  Spencer Kidd, Peyton Franta, Evan Strauch, and Marc Pagnucci.  Spencer and Peyton were named to the first team, while Evan and Marc were named to the second team.  We are very proud of these accomplishments!  These boys had great individual stats and contributed to the success of our team - including being crowned the 2025 CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS!

Congratulations to our Spartans All-Conference players!  These recognitions are made by the varsity coaches of each team in our conference.  In the next few weeks we will post our team awards for varsity and JV, as well as a few other honors that were achieved by the Spartans.  Thanks again for a memorable season!
